London and national data on stop smoking services, SATOD, and youth vaping
The past month has provided updates in the national data sets for the statistics on local stop smoking services in England, smoking status at time of delivery (SATOD), as well as the annual survey on e-cigarette use in young people in Great Britain, by ASH (Action on Smoking and Health).
The London Tobacco Alliance and collated this data for the London region and combined it into a single presentation deck to summarise the data in once place.

Statistics on local stop smoking services in England
This quarterly report presents results from the monitoring of the Local Stop Smoking Services in England during the period April 2024 to March 2025.
This report includes information on the number of people setting a quit date and the number who successfully quit at the 4 week follow-up. It also presents in-depth analyses of the key measures of the service including breakdowns by age, ethnic group, socio-economic classification, type of stop-smoking aids used in the quit attempt, as well as spend on services. The results are provided at national, regional, and local authority levels.

Smoking status at time of delivery (SATOD)
This report presents statistics on women’s smoking status at time of delivery, at Sub Integrated Care Board (Sub-ICB), Integrated Care Board (ICB), regional and national levels.
The 2024-25 quarterly publications include information from two data sources:
- Smoking at Time of Delivery (SATOD v1) data collection
- Maternity Services Dataset (MSDS, SATOD v2)
SATOD v1 data set will be retiring at the end of 2024-25, and SATOD v2 will be used for future reporting

Use of vapes (e-cigarettes) among young people in Great Britain
Produced by Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), this factsheet analyses how behaviour and attitudes to vapes (e-cigarettes) among young people have changed over time. The survey began in 2013, and this update includes the results of the 2025 survey (n=3,044) carried out in March and April 2025.
