As part of the first ever Stop Smoking London LGBTQ+ Week (27–31 October), two online sessions will explore how different sectors can support people in LGBTQ+ communities who smoke to quit.
- Tuesday 28 October, 15:30–17:00: Supporting LGBTQ+ Communities – for voluntary and community organisations.
Hear from LGBT HERO, Lambeth Links, Merton Plus, Smoke Free App and London Tobacco Alliance on inclusive approaches to quit support - Wednesday 29 October, 14:00–16:00: Addressing Inequalities – for tobacco control and health professionals.
Featuring Dr Michael Brady (NHS England), Dr Tristan Barber (Royal Free Hospital) and colleagues from Stop Smoking London, this session looks at stigma, mental health, and integrating smoke-free support in clinical practice.
Both webinars form part of Stop Smoking London’s campaign to highlight the unique challenges and strengths of LGBTQ+ communities and the practical steps services can take to help people quit for good.
