A message from Tracy Parr, London Tobacco Alliance and Stop Smoking London Programme Director:

With nearly a million smokers in London, many of whom will suffer from smoking related disability and early death, smoking remains a top health priority.

The LTA was launched a year ago to ensure we can combine efforts and be more than the sum of our parts. I believe strongly in collaboration, and am confident the work we are doing collectively across our organisations can help to support Londoners to lead longer healthier lives.

This report provides a summary of activities undertaken in the last year, across LTA and SSL highlighting our work and aspirations going forward.

There is a huge amount of energy and interest in this area of public health. I’d like to thank everyone who has afforded support to the LTA and SSL. Together we are making a positive difference on the journey to a healthier future for London.
